Due to Bad Brains have had to cancel the festival appearance, UK SUBS have just been confirmed to replaced them at Azkena Rock Festival tomorrow.

Due to unforseen circumstances, the gig in Lisbon, Portugal on May 1st that UK SUBS were booked have now been CANCELLED.

SPEEDFREAKS 4 CANCELLED
20th October 2008

Unfortunately, Speedfreaks 4 that UK SUBS were booked has now been cancelled. Below is a statement from the organiser:

" I am sorry to announce that Speedfreaks 4 has had to be cancelled. Due to slow ticket sales there is no option but to cancel the event. The bank situation and economy has really hit home and the event receipts will fall short of the cost of staging the show by quite a large amount of money which would have put me out of business and possibly bankrupted me, even the late addition of Cock Sparrer to the bill hasn't brought in enough extra ticket sales to cover the deficit. I left it as long as possible before making this difficult decision to see if there would be an upturn in the situation. But by cancelling the event and refunding ticket monies The Speedfreaks Ball will live to fight another day I would like to thank everybody for their support and help in promoting Speedfreaks. If you have posted info regarding Speedfreaks 4 on any forums, listings or websites that I don't go on would you please post this statement on them.

This does not affect any other Speedfreaks shows and all other shows are still going ahead.

Please return your booking receipt, or paypal receipt, to the address below for a full refund and please include your full postal address. Any bookings from outside the U.K will be refunded via paypal once we have received your receipt.

UK SUBS have been confirmed for the main support of Rancid's forthcoming UK tour at Birmingham Academy on November 11th and London Astoria on November 14th.

UK SUBS WARHEAD CD
14th April 2008

UK SUBS brand new CD Warhead is being released on June 9th.

The title track "Warhead" is a new version of their classic single, which originally reached number 30 in 1980. This release also contains 2 brand new tracks and a new mix of "Straighten Out" from the band's previous single 666 Yeah, plus a new treatment of another UK SUBS favourite "I Live In A Car".

A bonus live clip "Warhead" features guest bassist Tony Barber from Buzzcocks. Filmed at Islington Academy in London, UK on 16.07.07 taken from the DVD Paul Fox (The Ruts) benefit gig.

Below is a statement from the Academy In The UK organisers:

"Due to unforseen circumstances, Academy In The UK will just be held in Birmingham this year on bank holiday May 4th. All tickets for Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle and London should be returned to their point of purchase for a refund. Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we hope to see you in Birmingham."

However, UK SUBS will be playing in Stockport, Thatched House on May 2nd and Gosport, Rugby Club on August 23rd instead.

There are a few rumours going around on various forums and message boards that Charlie Harper of UK SUBS has died. This is of course NOT true. Charlie is ALIVE and on tour with the band in Germany at the moment.
